Make a Donation

Individual donations are the backbone of Birds Houston programs. Donations from individuals such as yourself are the driving force behind all of our education and sanctuary programs. See below for information on making a donation in cash or check. We also have a special program for the donation of securities.

Donations by Check

Checks to Birds Houston can be mailed to 440 Wilchester Blvd, Houston TX 77079. If you prefer to make a donation by telephone, please call our office at 713-932-1639 (office hours are Monday-Friday, 10 am - 3 pm).

Conations by Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from Your IRA

Supporters over 70 ½ can make a tax-free qualified charitable distribution as long as they're paid directly from the IRA to an eligible charitable organization.  QCDs can be made electronically, directly to the charity, or by check payable to the charity.  Read more here.

Planned Giving

Birds Houston is the same organization as Houston Audubon

We are operating under a “Doing Business As/DBA” designation as Birds Houston while our legal name remains The Houston Audubon Society. This means that any contracted partnerships, legal agreements, or donation bequests made to The Houston Audubon Society/Houston Audubon will be honored through our renaming.
