Wellness in the Sanctuary

Take a break, slow down, and reconnect with nature at Wellness in the Sanctuary, a free community event designed to nurture your mind, body, and spirit. Join us at the sanctuary for a morning of peaceful movement, creativity, music, and connection with the natural world. Enjoy a variety of free activities including, yoga, Tai-Chi movement, a native plant nursery tour, Zentangle art craft, a forest therapy walk, and a slow birding walk. Relax and enjoy the beautiful sounds of Native American flute and harp performance surrounded by nature on the historic log cabin deck.

Spending time in nature can support overall wellness by helping reduce stress, calm the mind, encourage gentle movement, and create opportunities to slow down and be present. When you come to move, create, listen, observe, or simply enjoy the sanctuary, we invite you to find your own way to connect with nature.

All activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Space may be limited for some activities. Come prepared: Dress for the weather, wear bug spray, and bring a reusable water bottle. We will have a limited number of binoculars available to borrow for the Slow Birding and Forest Therapy Walks. Don’t forget your yoga mat!
