For over four decades, Birds Houston volunteers and staff have been working to manage invasive plant species within the coastal sanctuaries to create high-functioning stopover habitat for migratory birds. Here we’ll discuss some of the challenges and lessons learned during this effort and some examples of how changing flora has affected the birds of the region. This presentation is part of the meeting of the Houston Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas. Attendance is free and open to all.
