Notes
Blue Mistflower is a butterfly magnet in the fall when its blossoms attract numerous species of skippers, small butterflies, and bees. It self-seeds freely and also spreads by rhizomes, but is easily removed from unwanted locations. The plants tends to sprawl but they readily accept pruning. Blue Mistflower thrives in moist soil and along pond borders where it is an excellent companion plant for Ohio Spiderwort, Black-eyed Susan, Pickerel Weed, Frogfruit, and Creeping Spotflower.
Blue Mistflower's natural habitats include woodland margins, wet meadows, and stream banks.
